I just love it when all I have to do is wait till the sea moves away at low tide, climb of the boat and harvest Glassworth (zeekraal).
It’s a delicious veggie that thrives in salty areas such as seacoast environments.
You pick it from its muddy grounds so you definitely will stay in shape: squatting to pick them all!
I mostly eat it raw in salads but you also can notch up your stir-fry with it. My kids love to nibble on it straight from the mud. It even ended up on sauerkraut mash (zuurkoolstamppot, haha in August).
